This TniQ protein is part of the insertion of transposable elements by guide RNA–assisted targeting (INTEGRATE) system devised by Vo et al.(2020). The INTEGRATE system consists of CRISPR RNA-guided integrases for bacterial genome engineering (see <a href="https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K3776022"> BBa_K3776022</a>). TniQ forms a complex with the Cas proteins Cas8, Cas7 and Cas6, crucial for DNA binding and insertion.(Klompe et al., 2019)
