Inducible expression of antitoxin CcdA by pBAD

Description:This construct is composed of L-arabinose mediated inducible promoter pBAD and antitoxin CcdA of CcdB/CcdA toxin-antitoxin system. CcdB/CcdA is a type II toxin-antitoxin system originating from E. coli. This construct can be used to characterize the antagonistic effect of CcdA when combining with CcdB expression constructs. It can also be used as a biocontainment component, as when bacteria escape to the natural environment without the inducers the antitoxin gene is repressed.
