RNA AUAGAU binding Pumby Protein coupled with GFP

This is a fusion protein containing AUAGAU binding Pumby Protein (BBa_K3657004) and GFP (BBa_E0040).

Usage and Biology

AUAGAU binding Pumby Protein binds specifically the AUAGAU RNA sequence(BBa_K3657015). Pumby Proteins can be designed to bind a specific RNA sequence.

GFP is a green fluorescent protein

This construct was planned to be used as the positive controle in an experiment aiming to explore the ability to use RNA as a linker between proteins. You can find out more about the planned experiment here: iGEM Heidelberg 2020.

Due to the COVID19 pandemics we did not obtain empirical data about this part.
