pGAL1 + LexA activator on pRS305
Induced by galactose, this activator, tagged with mCherryx2, activates promoters with LexA binding sites.
In a strain into which we transformed the LexA activator and LexA activator reporter, we found this part to be functional. Under the confocal fluorescence microscope, we saw mCherry expression in the nucleus (on the activating transcription factor), and its effect of inducing YFP expression in the cytosol from the activator reporter.
