PETase S188N

The PETase is an enzyme, which can hydrolyze PET and this mutation protein is changed on the basis of the PETase. This protein is changed from S to N at 188 position which can be more stable in higher temperature compared with the wild type.

Adding hydrogen bonds to stabilize α5-β7loop

The reduction of DDG was predicted by FoldX. PyOML was used for visual screening. it formed hydrogen bonds with 186-HIS and 190-ASN. after mutation to ASN, it formed hydrogen bonds with 190-ASN, which stabilized α5-β7loop and was beneficial to improve the thermal stability of PETase.
