RNA Part of an RNA·DNA-DNA triple helix + MS2-Stemloop
This part consists of a sequence that forms an RNA·DNA-DNA triple helix (DNA part: BBa_K3657023) and a sequence that forms an MS2 hairpin (BBa_K3113006).
Usage and Biology
The MS2 hairpin binds to the MS2 protein (BBa_K3218006). The triple helix forming part binds the DNA sequence specifically. In that way this part should theoretically attract a protein of interest fused to an MS2 protein to a specific region on DNA. Due to COVID19 pandemic we didn't manage to get any empirical evidence that this part functions as described above.Sequence and Features
