sfGFP
Introduction
This superfolder green fluorescence protein (sfGFP) is derived from a modular synthetic biology education kit, banana toehold sensor sfGFP (Biobits) 1 , which can detect the RNA of banana and express the sfGFP.
Characterization with banana toehold switch
The 2020 iGEM CSMU_Taiwan characterized the sfGFP protein with the banana toehold sensor sfGFP (BBa_K3431050). We measured the real-time fluorescence within the 80 minutes protein production process.
Results As seen, the sfGFP generated a strong fluorescence signal, which makes it a great reporter for genetic devices.
