Geraniol Synthase
Catharanthus roseus produces monoterpene indole alkaloids (MIAs). Geraniol synthase catalyzes a key step in the generation of geraniol from geranyl diphosphate (GPP) in the monoterpenoid branch of the MIA pathway.
The sequence of the geraniol synthase from Catharanthus roseus (CrGES) has been taken from Genbank (JN882024.1) then truncated to the 43 amino acid in order to increase its activity (Jiang et al.).
