Cellulose Synthase Operon with T5 promoter

Cellulose Synthase GxCesA (Part:BBa_K3098001) and GxCesB(Part:BBa_K3098002), with T5 promoter, two different Rbs and terminator.

Usage and Biology

Used to express bacteria cellulose synthase in E. coli. After adding IPTG to induce, the engineered bacteria will synthesize and secrete bacteria cellulose. Note that this part must be co-expressed with gene dgc (Diguanyl CyclasePart:BBa_K3098003) to function.
