Dinoflagellate Codon Optimized RFP
This part is a codon optimized version of RFP for use in use in Dinoflagellates, a single celled organism. This part was created to be used in DinoIII, a dinoflagellate backbone vector . The sequence for this part was synthesized via Snapgene. Considering dinoflagellates have preference when it comes to specific amino acids, the favorable codons of the dinoflagellates were chosen using the chart below to ensure the successful translation of the red fluorescent protein. This part can be used as a reporter/indicator of a successful transformation. Positive results are demonstrated by red fluorescence emitted from the cells.
