RBS-FNS under J23100 Promoter
This is a composite part consisting of a strong promoter, ribosome binding site, and the gene for flavone synthase (FNS). When inserted into a vector and transformed in E. coli, this part allows for the constitutive expression of FNS. FNS converts naringenin to apigenin via a direct 2,3-desaturation of flavanones.
