For receptor expression we wanted to make sure that it would be functionally active to conduct our signalling studies. For this the surface expression  of FPR2 was paramount for this there is an mtlight1 signal sequence present which will direct the receptor to the plasmamenbrane. Furthermore we needed to make sure that the GPF fusion didn’t interfere with the signalling mechanisms of FPR2. Our decision to add GFP to the C-terminus of the FPR2 proved to be the right one since it retained its functionality.

Design Notes

For receptor expression we wanted to make sure that it would be functionally active to conduct our signalling studies. For this the surface expression of FPR2 was paramount for this there is an mtlight1 signal sequence present which will direct the receptor to the plasmamenbrane. Furthermore we needed to make sure that the GPF fusion didn’t interfere with the signalling mechanisms of FPR2. Our decision to add GFP to the C-terminus of the FPR2 proved to be the right one since it retained its functionality.
