Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus Protease Cleavage Site

Profile

Name Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus (TVMV) Protease Cleavage Site
Base pairs XX
Origin Tobacco Vein Mottling Virus (TVMV)
Properties recognition site for the TVMV protease

Usage and Biology

This part includes the TVMV Protease cleavage site. TVMV cleaves the sequence ETVRFQS. We are using this recognition site to cut our protein in front of its polyG-tag so it has a C-terminal polyG-tag that can be used in a Sortase A reaction. Sequence and Features BBa_K3187020 SequenceAndFeatures The TVMV protease cuts after the final Gln. Cleavage works best if the following amino acid is Gly or Ser, but other amino acids at P1' except proline work as well
