NT (N-terminal domain of spidroin)

NT minispidroin composed of an NT from E. australis MaSp1(major ambulate spidorins) . The N-terminal domain is a non-repetitive and monomeric protein that has a high aqueous solubility in neutral pH solution, and the entire spidorin’s high solubility in pH=7 solution is derived from the NT. Due to the pH responsiveness of the NT, it will form stable dimers that can lock the entire spidorin into large networks as pH of the solution in the spinning duct decreases.
