Lactate Dehydrogenase Constitutive Promoter for Lactobacillus sp.

P-slp is a constitutive promoter which can be used in Lactobacillus reuteri 10023C, and may have uses in other Lactobacillus species.

The lactate dehydrogenase (ldhL) promoter is a constitutive promoter that has been used in Lactobacillus reuteri in our composite part BBa_K3183100. This is a constitutive promoter from the lactate dehydrogenase (ldhL) promoter from Lactobacillus acidophilus (Kim et al., 1991). It was characterised in six strains of Lactobacillus reuteri and Lactococcus lactis spp. cremoris MG1363 by Lizier et al, 2010.
