P20 with His tag
P20 chaperone with Strep-tag attached in the C- terminal in order to be able to detect the translated protein in western blot (using antibodies against the tag)
Description
p20 is a 20 kDa protein which can be isolated from Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis (Bti). It is a chaperone, which increases the production of Cry11Aa while expressed, and leads to higher mosquito larvicidal activity [2].
Amplification
Usage and Biology
The P20 is a chaperone which increases the production of Cry11Aa toxin, increases the larvicidal effect on mosquitos’ larvae, and His-tag is used to detect proteins in western blot using antibodies specific to the tag.
