P2A
The bicistronic P2A peptide is a kind of self-cleaved sequence, which breaks when translated. The protein expressed by the same mRNA is separated before and after to produce two proteins, which can be used to construct the polycis vector and realize the co-translation of two proteins under the control of the same promoter
Usage and Biology
Self-cleavage Bicistronic or multicistronic are widely used in expression of more than one gene at the same time. These molecules shapes only a small size, but has amazingly high cleavage efficiency.
