Chloramphenicol Resistance Gene S121X (ChlR_S121X)

This part is a mutant of a gene encoding ChlR, a resistance gene of chloramphenicol, and it is nonsense mutated at its 121st amino acid residual. We used this mutated ChlR as one of the targets of our directed evolution process. After expression in BL21(DE3), we counted the number of colonies grown on a medium plate containing chloramphenicol to show its inability of being resistant to chloramphenicol.

Numbers of different types of colonies grown on plates with different antibiotics
