CAT-Seq Barcode 1

CAT-Seq barcode collection consists of small DNA fragments with unique sequences that are used together with Nanopore Sequencing in Catalytic Activity Sequencing Pipeline. For example, if one wants to sequence two different libraries using the same Nanopore chip, it would be advised to barcode the libraries beforehand using the CAT-Seq barcodes. That is because DNA fragments from one sequencing run may present in the following one. If libraries are barcoded, these errors can be bioinformatically removed.

These barcodes can also be used in combination. For example, if a single barcode is used for each sample and there are 18 different barcodes to choose from, one can barcode 18 different samples. Yet, if used in combinations of two - up to 324 samples can potentially be barcoded using the same 18 original barcodes.

Of course, these barcodes are multi-purpose ant can be used for any other required application!
