yno1
Yon1(also known as aim14,short for Altered Inheritance rate of Mitochondria or ygl160w) encodes a genuine NADPH oxidase (NOX enzymes), which is located in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and produces superoxide in a NADPH-dependent fashion. Experiments have shown that overexpress yno1 can increase the accumulation of intracellular ROS.
