3G pTlpA
pTlpA promoter BBa_K2500003 in a 3G-compatible form. Repressed by TlpA, a heat-sensitive protein which begins to deactivate at 37C. "The TlpA operator is a strong promoter (88-fold stronger than LacIQ) driven by the transcription factor σ. Interestingly, this promoter has bidirectional activity, with identical thermal regulation in both orientations but approximately 200-fold lower maximal expression in the reverse direction."1 See pTlpAr BBa_K2680124 for the reverse complement of pTlpA. pTlpA is flanked by prefix sticky end A and suffix sticky end B.
