Broad host range regulatory element (strength 3)

This broad host range regulatory element consists of a constitutive promoter and a ribosome binding site which can be used for gene expression across different bacterial species. The part sequence was obtained from Johns et al. (ID 36850) and is originally found in Syntrophothermus lipocalidus .


Usage and Biology

The broad host range regulatory element was characterized by Johns et al. among other sequences obtained through metagenomic mining. The relative transcription and translation levels measured by Johns et al. are given below:
