Applications of BBa_K2309022
This year we use dot blot method to evaluate part K2309022 work.
The picture shows the dot blotting result of produced LL-37 which induced by IPTG in BL21 strain. The left one shows the peptide LL-37 produced and right is non-induced BL21 by IPTG.
For LL-37 ability assay, we tested Minimal Inhibitory concentration(MIC) of Staphylococcus aureus, the result is shown as follows:
As picture shows that the concentration of LL-37 from 5ug/ml to 10ug/ml, the LL-37 has highly activities Staphylococcus aureus.
We also tested the anti-biofilm ability of LL-37 on biofilm formation of Staphylococcus aureus, the result as follows:
The result shows that the value of Absorbance at 595nm decreases while the concentration of LL-37 increases. It seems that LL-37 peptide inhibits Staphylococcus aureus to form the biofilm.
