Pex34p-mTurquoise with ScCCW12 promoter

This part contains the coding sequence for the peroxin Pex34p with the strong constitutive promoter ScSSW12 and the terminator ScADH1. The sequence is codon-optimized for S. cerevisiae.

Usage and Biology

Pex34p is a peroxisomal integral membrane protein that can act both, independently and in combination with Pex11p, Pex25p, and Pex27p to control the peroxisome morphology and population. Pex34p is suggested to directly influence peroxisome proliferation as well as constitutive peroxisome division.
