It's not really from space, but it has an awesome name.

Usage and Biology

We create this spacer in order to optimize translation of our coding sequences, the part was positioned between our RBS sequences and CDSs. This part was based on an effort of [http://pubs.rsc.org/-/content/articlelanding/2017/mb/c6mb00789a/unauth#!divAbstract Rangel-Chavez et al (2016)] which proposes a consensus architecture for genetic circuits in synthetic biology.
