The YddG gene is a synthetic codon optimized version of the E. coli MG1655 YddG gene.
The AroG sequence originated from the MG1655 E. coli strain but carries a Pro150Leu point mutation in order to avoid negative feedback inhibition by L-phenylalanine (Gu et al., 2012), in addition a hexa his-tag has been added.
