Cry4Aa (Codon optimized for E.coli)

Cry4Aa is a pesticidal crystal protein which belongs to delta endotoxin family. It's originally came from Bacillus thuringiensis and can specifically target Culex larvae and cause damage in midgut. Cry4Aa consist of three domains and they have two molecular functions: receptor binding and toxin activity. Domain I is responsible for pore formation and insertion of toxin, while domain II and III have receptor binding activities. Cry4Aa was first submitted as an igem part in 2016 by FAFU-China. For Culex is a vector of virus like epidemic encephalitis type B, Cry4Aa can be a very useful part. In the meantime, there's no doubt that most of the igem teams are using E.coli as their bio-chasis. Because of this situation, our team codon optimized this part, so it can express in E.coli.

Part BBa_K2074101(https://parts.igem.org/Part:BBa_K2074101) is the original version of this part.
