Fungal promoter PgpdA

PgpdA is the constitutive promoter of the glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase gene (gpdA) from Aspergillus nidulans. This 2.1kb promoter containing a minimal gpdA promoter(BBa_K2040200) was isolated from fungal transformation vector.

Usage and Biology

To test the activity of gpdA promoter in entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium.anisopliae, NYMU 2016 also constructed a composite part(BBa_K2040122) containing a mRFP coding region and placed it downstream the promoter.

Results indicate this gpdA promoter
