Fluorescent protein mKeima expressed by Arabinose promotor

mKeima is a red-shifted fluorescent protein with Excitation of 440nM and Emission of 616nM. In this part mKeima expression is induced by Arabinose driven by the wildtype pBAD promotor. The red shifted emission spectrum gives it good potential for mammalian cell or tissue bioimaging.

Usage and Biology

We attempted to use arabinose to induce expression of this biobrick variety of concentrations and time periods. Our success with this expression are documented in the Experience section.
