The entry vector contains a promoter repressible by the TAL14 repressor. pTAL14 consists of one repressible site upstream and four repressible sites downstream of the minimal CMV promoter. (Li et al., 2015) [1] A VP-16 Gal4 protein complex recruits the transcription machinery of the promoter.
