The entry vector contains a promoter repressible by the TAL14 repressor. pTAL14 consists of one repressible site upstream and four repressible sites downstream of the minimal CMV promoter. A VP-16 Gal4 protein complex is recruited to aid the transcription machinery of the promoter.
