MHETase enzyme after codon optimization for bacillus subtilis
This gene encodes the MHETase enzyme. This protein can bind on the PET surface and degrade MHET to TPA and EG, which have higher efficiency than other cutinase. This enzyme cooperates with PETase enzyme well in PET degradation. At first, this gene couldn’t fully express in bacillus subtilis. So we use codon optimization for bacillus subtilis for better expression and secretion.
