P335-Φ31 inducible middle promoter
A phage-inducible promoter natively located in the middle of the genome of the P335 species lactococcal phage Φ31, containing two tandem transcription sites.
Usage and Biology
Transcption form this promoter is induced after phage genome is inserted into the bacterial cell, resulting in downstream expression in the initial stages of infection. It has been previously demonstrated that expression is successfully induced from this promoter and only occurs during phage infection.
