DNA polymerase III is the main enzyme during DNA replication. DNAQ encodes the epsilon subunit of DNA polymerase III which is responsible for the proofreading function. DNAQ has the 3’-5’ exonuclease activity. During the process of DNA replication ,as soon as base mispairing occur, DNAQ will cut off the newly synthesized base, which enable the right base to substitute its position. Usage and Biology

DNA polymerase III is the main enzyme during DNA replication. DNAQ encodes the epsilon subunit of DNA polymerase III which is responsible for the proofreading function.
