This is the hsp60 promoter from M. bovis. It has also been shown to work in certain Propionibacterium. Due to this, we hypothesized that it would work in P. Acnes.

Hsp60 promoter (M. bovis) Strong constitutive promoter from M. bovis and fused to a strong RBS from TM4 bacteriophage. This hybrid promoter/RBS has been shown to function in a variety of mycobacteria. (1) It is expected to function in P. acnes a closely-related propionibacterium.
