Reverse GFP for E.coli

RGE

Reverse GFP for E.coli (RGE) is a specially designed testing module. It contains GFP codon optimised to work in E.coli in the reverse orientation, followed by a ribosome binding site (RBS) BBa_B004 After the RBS is the 3’UTR SLD3 containing a ribozyme (BBa_K1442114) which is an RDRP (BBa_K1442100) initiator.

RGE.jpg This graphic generated from Geneious shows the organisation of the RGE testing module.

Usage

The RGE was intended to be used to test the different 3’UTR options which can be cloned in using restriction digest enzymes Afl II and BsiW1.

This testing module is designed to work in RNA format.
