Design Notes
The sequence for this gene was predicted through peptide mass fingerprinting of Polistes dominula (European paper wasp) nest protein samples. We believe it to be a potential candidate for the salivary protein that the wasps use to build and waterproof their nests. We have codon-optimized it for E. coli expression.
