This part was created by the fusion of the heavy and light ferritin subunits (<partinfo>BBa_K1189025</partinfo>, <partinfo>BBa_K1189024</partinfo>) to form the fusion ferritin subunit. The lacI promoter (<partinfo>BBa_J04500</partinfo>), double terminator (<partinfo>BBa_B0015</partinfo>) and his-tag was also added in order to induce protein expression and allow purification. This part is similar to <partinfo>BBa_K1189018</partinfo>, but instead of the E-coil, it is replaced by TALA(<partinfo>BBa_K1189004</partinfo>). This part was primarily used as a backup in the case the coiled-coil system was ineffective at binding TALEs to the ferritin scaffold. | This part was created by the fusion of the heavy and light ferritin subunits (<partinfo>BBa_K1189025</partinfo>, <partinfo>BBa_K1189024</partinfo>) to form the fusion ferritin subunit.
