sfYFP N-terminal
Superfolder Yellow Fluorescent Protein is a derivative of superfolder Green Fluorescent protein. Compared to BFP it displays improved stability and strong blue fluorescence. Excitation peak: 380 nm Emission peak: 440 nm. This is N-terminal of sfBFP, that can be used in Bimolecular Fluorescence Complementation system (BiFC). It can be used in conjunction with two versions of superfolderFP C-terminus (BBa_K1093014 and BBa_K1093015) of different specificity to sensitivity ratio (BBa_K1093007 being the more sensitive and BBa_K1093008 the more specific). The 'wild type' C-terminus is not applicable, as it spontaneously recreates the native fluorophore with the N-terminal part. The part contains Freiburg prefix (suitable for fusion at the N-terminus).
