Design Notes
The sfp CDS is derived from a surfactin producing derivative of B. subtilis wt JH642. [Nakano, 1992] We cloned sfp in a pSB3K3-derived plasmid with a lac promoter (BBa_R0010) and the RBS BBa_B0029.
Source
Sfp originally comes from genome of Bacillus subtilis strain OKB170. We amplfied it from E. coli BAP1 which carries the sfp gene.
