TycA_deltaCom Module from Tyrocidine

This is the CDS for TycA_deltaCom module from the Tyrocidine gene cluster of Brevibacillus parabrevis. It is the first module in gene cluster encoding the non-ribosomal peptide (NRP) synthetase of the cyclic decamer Tyrocidine. This specific module TycA_deltaCom is responsiple for the binding of the first amino acid D-Phenyl of the NRP. It consists of the A- (adenylation), PCP- (peptide-carrier protein) and the E- (epimerization) domain. After tycA follows the tycB gene with three modules.

This biobrick can be used for the design of different NRP synthetases. It was used in the synthetic Tripeptide I of our project.
