TycB1 Module from Tyrocidine
This is the CDS for TycB1 module from the Tyrocidine gene cluster of Brevibacillus Parabrevis. It is the second module in this cluster for the NonRibosomalPeptide-Synthetase of the cyclic decamer Tyrocidine. This specific module TycB1 is responsiple for the binding of the second amino acid Proline of the NRP. It consists of the C- (condensation), A- (adenylation) and the PCP- (peptide-carrier-protein) domain. After Tyc B1 follows the TycB2 module of the TycB gene which has three modules.
This bio brick can be used for the design of different NRPS. It was used in the synthetic Dipeptide and TetrapeptideI/II of our project.
