Design Notes

This sequence is from Saccharomyces cerevisiae Reference Strain S288C. It is very similar to the FUS1 promoter well characterized by the 2012 TU-Delft iGEM Team (see Part:BBa_K775004). However, the sequences do differ:

Sequence is from the genome of Saccharomyces cerevisiae Reference Strain S288C chromosome III coordinates 71603 to 71803, in the promoter region of the FUS1/YCL027W coding sequence ([http://www.yeastgenome.org Saccharomyces Genome Database]).
