This enzyme catalyzes the reaction of isoamyl alcohol -> isoamyl acetate
Usage and Biology
- The gene ATF1 encodes the enzyme alcohol acetyltransferase 1, which produces acetate esters from acetyl CoA and alcohols. Horton et al. report using 10mM isoamyl alcohol.
