Promoter sboA, upregulated by rotten meat volatiles in B. subtilis
This a promoter from B. subtilis which is upregulated when in the presence of the volatiles from rotten meat. For more information, visit iGEM Groningen 2012 page.
Usage and Biology
We connected the SboA promoter to different pigment genes (chromoproteins AmilCP(BBa_K592009) & AmilGFP(BBa_K592010), and lycopene (BBa_K274100). You can find a detailed characterization of the expression of SboA in the page of the SboA-AGFP device (BBa_K818600).
