iGEM2012 WHU-China In the in vitro assay we performed, we collected cell extracts from 1L medium and got protein solution of high concentration .The enzyme assay was then performed to measure the ability of degrading fatty acids by single enzyme and their different combinations. The remaining amount of fatty acids in the medium is measured by the cupric-acetate reaction .
