In this picture , the color of the sample      standing for cell extracts collected from bacteria overexpressing fadD is light than the controls . It means the fatty acids remaining in the tube is less .From the results above, we have proved that the biobrick responsible for overexpressing fadD can metabolize fatty acids much faster.

In the in vitro assay we performed, we collected cell extracts from 1L medium and got protein solution of high concentration .The enzyme assay was then performed to measure the ability of degrading fatty acids by single enzyme and their different combinations. The remaining amount of fatty acids in the medium is measured by the cupric-acetate reaction . Cupric_acetate-1-.png In this picture , the color of the sample standing for cell extracts collected from bacteria overexpressing fadD is light than the controls . It means the fatty acids remaining in the tube is less .From the results above, we have proved that the biobrick responsible for overexpressing fadD can metabolize fatty acids much faster.
