iGEM2012 WHU-China In this experiment , we inoculated the same amount of bacteria expressing different genes involved in beta oxidation pathway in the oleate medium. The sample was collected at 6h , 12h , 18h and 24h .Then the cupric-acetate reaction was performed to detect the remaining amount of faty acids in the medium , which reflected the effects of expressing different genes on degrading fatty acids.
