araC-Pbad - Arabinose inducible regulatory promoter/repressor unit
This regulatory unit can be induced by L(+) - arabinose. The repressor Ara C is located upstream of the arabinose promoter. L(+) - Arabinose is a sugar and is harmless.
For overexpression of proteins the concentration in range of 0,001-0,02% Arabinose can be used.
This sequenced biobrick was alingned by using nucleotide NCBI BLAST (http://blast.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Blast.cgi?PROGRAM=blastn&BLAST_SPEC=WGS&BLAST_PROGRAMS=megaBlast&PAGE_TYPE=BlastSearch) with the original E. coli arabinose regulatory part of the arabinose degradation operon. The results provided 100% coverage.
