This part codes for the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (cat) gene used in Bacillus subtilis for resistance against the antibiotic chloramphenicol. We constructed it in the freiburg standard (Assembly 25) for in-frame fusion-proteins. There is a Shine-Dalgarno Sequence (RBS) optimized for Bacillus subtilis included between the XbaI and NgoIV restriction site. You can use it both N-and C terminal fusions.

chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (cat)

This part codes for the chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (cat) used in Bacillus subtilis for resistance against the antibiotic chloramphenicol.
